Flanderwell TARA's Community Day

 Last Summer the organisers of Flanderwell's Community Day thought the range of sports activities Active Regen provides would be great for the children and young people of Flanderwell to try.
 
So on 8 August the Active Regen team drove out to Flanderwell and got busy setting up free tennis and football coaching together with fun activities like the ‘Cross Bar Challenge’.  As this was a Community Day all the events took place on a patch of grass in the middle of the housing estate. It showed that you don't need fantastic stadiums to get out, get active and have fun. The highlight of the day was a fabulous game of giant rounders which got everyone of all ages joining in. 
The day was a great success and gave everyone a chance to come together boosting the morale of the community.
